Hi, and welcome to Apex Health Advisors.
I'm Alex, one of the co-owners here at Apex. Behind the scenes, I oversee our operations and customer service, which means my job is to make sure every client has a smooth experience from their very first conversation with us through enrollment and beyond.
If you're here, there's a good chance you're trying to make sense of health insurance, and I know it can feel overwhelming. Between the different plans, networks, deductibles, and enrollment deadlines, it's not always clear what the right choice is.
That's why we started Apex Health Advisors.
As an independent agency, we work with multiple insurance carriers, so our goal is to help you compare your options and find coverage that fits your doctors, your prescriptions, your budget, and your lifestyle. We explain everything in plain English so you can make a confident decision without feeling pressured.
Whether you're looking for individual or family coverage, Medicare, or a health plan for your business, we're here to guide you every step of the way.
Our support doesn't stop once you're enrolled, either. If you have questions down the road, need help understanding your coverage, or just want to review your plan, we're here for that too.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our website. Feel free to explore our resources, request a free quote, or reach out if you'd like to talk with one of us. We look forward to earning your trust and helping you find the right coverage.

What clients say
In their own words
“We recently started working with Apex Health for our company’s health, dental, and vision insurance, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience so far! From the very beginning, their team has been wonderful to work with. They are professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to help.
They have made the process of getting everything set up smooth and easy, and we truly appreciate how attentive they have been to our questions and needs. It’s refreshing to work with a company that genuinely makes you feel supported and valued.
We highly recommend Apex Health and look forward to continuing to work with their team!
Thanks again for making the transition so smooth and for making everything so much easier for us. We really appreciate it!”
“I had the best experience looking for health insurance. Brent Barnes was easy to chat with knowledgable on the varied plans and made the whole process feel comfortable and attainable. Great way to do business!!”
“After my COBRA plan was terminated I ended up on a ‘Bronze’ plan thru the healthcare exchange. 3 mos later Brent called just to follow up with me from a conversation we had over a year ago. If you want an agent who cares and walks you through every part of the plan answering all your questions he is very patient and takes time to listen to any concerns. Highly Recommend!”

Oregon Finalized Its 2027 Rates: What Central Oregon Employers Should Read Into Them
Oregon is one of the few states that finishes rate review before autumn, so its 2027 numbers are already final while most states are still quoting requests. The individual market took 21.6%. Small group took 15.5%. That gap is the story.
Working Past 65: Do You Need Medicare If You Have Employer Coverage?
If you are working at 65 with employer coverage, the answer to whether you can delay Medicare is not about preference. It turns on your employer's headcount, and getting it wrong can mean a penalty you pay for the rest of your life.
Turning 26: Getting Your Own Health Insurance for the First Time
Coverage under a parent's plan ends at 26. The single most common mistake is assuming the end date and discovering the gap afterward, and it is entirely avoidable with one phone call.Who we are
Real people in your corner
Three founders, one standard. A licensed insurance agent handles your coverage and your options, and you deal with people who know your file.
Our carriers
Carriers we are appointed with
These are the under-65 and ancillary carriers Apex Health Advisors LLC holds active appointments with today, so the comparison you get comes from more than one company’s shelf. We are appointed with multiple Medicare carriers as well, and a licensed agent walks you through those options directly.
The North River Insurance Company is a Crum & Forster company. Your policy always names the company that insures you.
Carrier and plan availability varies by state and plan year, and not every plan from every carrier is offered in every area. We will always tell you which carriers we compared for your quote.

We compare the major carriers
A licensed insurance agent gets back to you, usually the same business day, notes your priorities, and shops the major carriers, not one company's shelf.
You get the plain-English version
We walk your real options together, screen to screen, and check your doctors, prescriptions, and facilities against each plan. No jargon, no pressure.
We handle enrollment and stay with you

Good questions, straight answers
What does using Apex Health Advisors cost me?
Nothing extra. Carriers build the same commission into your premium whether you use an agent or not, so our help is free to you. Because we are independent, no carrier owns us and we have no quota to fill for any of them. Commission amounts do vary by carrier and by product, and we will tell you what we are paid on anything we recommend if you ask.
Can't I just use HealthCare.gov myself?
You can, and for some people that is the right move. But a licensed insurance agent compares options you might miss, explains the tradeoffs in plain English, and handles the paperwork, at no cost. If the Marketplace is your best fit, we will tell you.
What happens after I submit the form?
A licensed insurance agent reviews your request and reaches out the same day, usually within minutes during business hours, with real options. We log your answers so nothing gets repeated, and you are never obligated to enroll.
Apex Health Advisors LLC is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program.
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 3 to 5 organizations which offer 7 to 76 products in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options. TTY users can call 1-877-486-2048. The line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Plan availability is set county by county, so the exact counts depend on where you live. Tell us your county and we will confirm the numbers for your address.
