Under 65

Coverage that fits, without the guesswork.

Premiums shifted in 2026 after the enhanced ACA subsidies expired. We will tell you in about two minutes whether a subsidy still changes your math, or whether a short-term or indemnity plan is the smarter move for you.

Under-65 health insurance covers you when you are not insured through an employer or Medicare. The main options are ACA Marketplace major medical, short-term medical, and fixed-benefit indemnity plans. Apex Health Advisors LLC compares all of them across major carriers, at no cost to you.

ACA / Marketplace

Comprehensive major medical that cannot turn you down for pre-existing conditions, on or off the exchange. We check whether you qualify for a premium subsidy.

Short-term medical

Lower-cost, flexible coverage for a gap between plans. Not ACA-compliant comprehensive coverage, but the right tool for the right situation.

Fixed-benefit indemnity

Pays a set amount for covered services. Often paired with other coverage. Not ACA-compliant comprehensive coverage.

Child-only coverage

Need a plan for just your kids? We can place a child-only policy through the Marketplace or on the private side through Allstate, and compare both for the right fit.

Common questions

Good questions, straight answers

Did my subsidy go away?

The enhanced premium tax credits expired at the end of 2025, so many non-subsidy buyers saw higher premiums for 2026. Subsidies still exist for many households, though. We will run your numbers and tell you exactly where you stand.

Is a short-term plan a good idea?

Sometimes. Short-term and indemnity plans are not comprehensive ACA coverage, so they are not right for everyone. For a healthy person bridging a short gap, they can save real money. We will be straight with you about the tradeoffs.
